Here's another piece I did for Macleans magazine. It's a frame honouring the life of an avid sportsman and Special Olympian. I really enjoy playing with the balance between grey and black in these pieces. Because the colours are always so simple it frees me up to focus solely on the composition. It's a welcome challenge, coming up with different ways to compose illustrations that have the same framing shape to them, and to not really have a focal point! I also love doing work that is symmetrical -- not perfect symmetrical, but balanced.
