Wood-panelled Dining Room

Now that I'm finished the upper level of my mysterious lodge, I'm working on the main level. It's hard to resist the urge to include all the rooms that are on a standard Clue board :P. I mean, I've already got a conservatory, kitchen, dining room, and study done, and I'm currently working on a games room / billiard room. Should I just succumb to this desire and do the library, lounge, and hall?

I haven't been posting all the rooms I've done (although here's what I've posted so far) because I want there to be new places for people to see when they play my game!

    The horrible maze. No mazes in my game >:).

  7. Yup, whodunit, loved that one too (but the third one, the amazon hugo was something I did not enjoy that much!)

    Cannot remember exactly but I quess the bees were in whodunit, damn that was hard! And I remember the maze, I did draw the whole maze as I did progress with it so i got it right, talk about creativity :)

    I'm kinda in border with insta-death situations in that game series where you would instantly die if you did not for ex. know to type in some certain word and talk about frustration after not having save before that situation, hah!

  8. I don't know if I played the third Hugo. Hmm... I'm thinking of having some fun deaths in my game, but have it as an option that can be toggled.

  10. I'm using Adobe Photoshop to create the art and using the pencil brush at 320x200 or around that -- It gives those nice, sharp, square pixels!

  12. I was just going to ask what program you used as well.

    I heard that in Photoshop if you use the line tool and turn off the Anti-Alias button, it gives you a nice pixeled look, similar to Microsoft Paint. I'm not sure if that helps, but I can't imagine how you'd do those lines with just the pencil brush.

    And again, your work is incredible. If you did a kickstarter campaign for this I would donate!

    In Photoshop if you click the mouse and then shift+click the mouse somewhere else, it'll draw a line connecting the two points. That's what I've been mostly doing!

    The line tool makes sense though, I've just started using the marquee tool to make perfect ovals. I just may try it your way, too!

    I'm still not sure how I'm going to go about launching the game. My first thought is finish it and try to get it on Steam. Kickstarter I'm not sure about because I'm not that great of a marketer or promoter. I also feel like with Kickstarter I'd have a solid deadline and right now I'm working on it when I'm not busy doing freelance illustration. Kind of a hobby and enjoying the process!
