Pectin is a fruit-derived hydrocolloid most often found in jams, jellies, and marmalades. Citrus fruits (particularly dried orange peels) and apple pomace are common sources. Common jam-related treats include thumbprint cookies, jammy dodgers, fruit tarts, fruit tarts, and jelly rolls.
